The Heel Ladder

Naturally i wouldn't expect that anyone would be able to walk in these shoes their first time putting on a pair of heels. However eventually, with practice, everyone can! Follow these basic steps, and you will walk like a pro.

1.) start with a kitten heel.
They may not be those killer pair of pumps that you have been dying to wear, but they are comfortable and easy to walk in for beginners.  Make sure you are walking heel to toe. I know it is silly to say, but a lot of the new heel wearers are easy to spot because they are planting there whole foot down looking like there doing some strange animal dance.

2.) Once you have mastered the kitted heel it is time to try a little taller shoe.  My personal favorite, the wedge!!!

If you have had a little practice walking in heels but either you are not great at it or you want to look good but not be wincing every time you step because those heels you "thought were comfortable in the store" gave you a blister. Wedges are also really good for walking on uneven ground (i.e. grass, sand, cobblestone...,).

3.) Chunky heel

I recommend that you only wear this type of shoe when you are feeling like a pro in your heels. You can get a chunky heel that is also a kitten heel but they are not very common. Chunky heels tend to be tall boot style heels like this one. They are ADORABLE!!!! Like wedges, chunky heels are really good when you know your going to be walking on uneven ground. The heel wont sink into to mud, cracks, or crevices but still stylish.

4.) Last but not least........ THOSE KILLER PUMPS!!!!!!!!!!

The moment we have all been waiting for. When you can finally walk (normally!!!) in pumps. There is not much to say but... STRUT YOU STUFF HONEY!!!!!! You did it! you learned how to (successfully) walk in heels.

Last minute tips:
Heel to toe
When walking on stairs USE THE RAILING, and Plant you whole foot down.
start small
walk slowly
don't try to walk in 5" heels the first time you try a pair of heels
be confident! it will help if you look like you know what your doing 'till you do
CARRY A PAIR OF FLATS WITH YOU FOR EMERGENCY!!!!
